Training Support Grants
at Fifty Shades Academy
At Fifty Shades Academy, we are committed to providing accessible training opportunities for our students. If you are receiving certain social welfare payments, you may be eligible for a Training Support Grant (TSG) to help cover the cost of your training.
Who can apply?
You may qualify for a Training Support Grant if you are receiving one of the following payments:
Jobseeker’s Allowance (including Casuals and Credits only)
Jobseeker’s Benefit (including Casuals, JBSE, Credits only)
Jobseeker’s Transition Payment
Blind Pension
Carer’s Allowance
Disability Allowance
Deserted Wives Allowance (DWA) / Deserted Wives Benefit (DWB)
Farm/Fish Assist (FA)
Illness Benefit (for 6 months or more)
Invalidity Pension
One Parent Family Payment
COVID-19 Pandemic Unemployment Payment (PUP)
Qualified Adults of Jobseeker’s Payment (who are actively job-seeking)
Rural Social Scheme (RSS)

Widows/Widowers Contributory/Non-Contributory Pension
Work Experience Placement Programme (WPEP)
Note: The Youth Employment Support Scheme (YESS) is no longer available, but time spent on YESS counts towards qualifying periods.
Additionally, individuals must be genuinely seeking work (GSW) and available to work. Case Officers may also approve applications from recipients of other DSP payments (except State Pension) if there is an identified work/activation opportunity.
How to apply
To apply for a Training Support Grant, follow these steps:
- Visit Your Local Intreo Centre
Request the Accreditation of Provider & Training Form from your Social Officer. These forms are not available at the reception; you must meet with your Social Officer to discuss your options. - Send the Form to Us
Once you receive the form, send it to us, and we will complete it before returning it to the Intreo Centre for approval.- Email: Scan and send the completed form to hellofiftyshades@gmail.com along with details of the course(s) you wish to attend, including dates.

- Approval Process
Approval usually takes just a few days. Once approved, you can begin your training with us.
Grant Amount
You may receive up to €1,000 per year, allowing you to apply for multiple courses within that budget.
